Paying Homage to Homer

Well, I finally saw The Simpsons Movie a few days ago and I gotta say it: I thought the movie was funny but there was no way it could live up to 20 years of expectations about a feature film. I've been waiting for this movie since I was 7 and I knew going in that it would be a letdown. No movie could support the expectations of several generations of fans. But you could go to the theater and know you were guaranteed to laugh. The Simpsons have been making us laugh since 1989 and for what it was yeah, it was good. It just felt that the writers were holding back. I was really hoping that the writers would cut loose and, I don't know, maybe have Homer just thoroughly kick Bart's ass finally. God knows he's been begging for it for years. I'm not gonna go into details just in case you've been in a cave and have not seen it yet. Don't worry though. You get your money's worth. Now I just wanna know one thing: Sequel? I gotta go. Peace!
