Five Years

Can you believe it? It feels like only yesterday since it happened. For all those families who lost loved ones especially so. That must have been what it felt like for those who were alive November 22nd,1963. Shocking events broadcast the world over. I've grown up so much since then in some ways and in other ways I've grown up so little. That day we saw the best and worst that the human race is capable of. Incredible acts of heroism and the depths that so called human beings can reach. I believe that what the human spirit is is finding a way to endure the unimaginable and find a way to live. We have to. Life goes on. Life always goes on. To quote William Faulkner "I believe that not only will mankind endure, he will prevail."
