Impeach Bush??

Should George W.Bush be censored? Or impeached? That seems to be a question that's becoming more and more popular to ask as time goes on. This week will leave 1,000 days left in Bush's presidency and things are getting worse than ever. Gas prices are soaring with no relief in sight, New Orleans is still in shambles, an ongoing two-front war in Afghanistan and Iraq, a possible civil war in the making in Iraq, well over 2,000 soldiers dead and many thousands wounded, upcoming protests across the nation on immigration, Bush's approval ratings are at an all time low at32% and falling. What does it take for people to realize that maybe we're on the wrong path here? I mean, Republicans tried to impeach former president Clinton for a lot less than what Bush and his Administration has managed to get away with. This is the problem with having one party controlling both houses of Congress. And I would be saying this if this was a Democratic president and Democratic Congress. No one party should be in control of the White House and Congress. People began to really question the President's judgment when he nominated White House counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. A woman whose prior experience was as head of the Texas State Lottery Commission and a deep admirer of the president? Bush essentially the American people to trust him when it came to this pick for Supreme Court Justice. The people decided not to and after a firestorm of criticism, she asked for her nomination to be withdrawn. Samuel Alito ended up with the job. This was a foreshadowing of Katrina when we found out that Michael "Brownie"Brown, head of FEMA had no experience in disaster relief or emergency management. Now I thought for jobs like that you needed to have experience as a judge or emergency management. The president's practice of cronyism, elevating unfit people to areas of high responsibility, has come back to damage his credibility with average citizens. People used to think about Bush and think "strong" as a word to describe him. Now the word most identify him with is "incompetent". I don't know about you but we need to seriously consider the possibility of retiring President Bush. I don't come to this decision lightly. We need to make sure we don't establish a precedent that could come back to haunt us down the line.
